Best of 2008

Okay, I've given this a lot of thought (not really) and here goes....

**Karter turned 5 this year and started Kindergarten! I can't believe how big he's gotten. He went to Riverdale elementary for about a month. Then unfortunately, things didn't work out with our sitter so now he's a Busy Bee! But he loves it, he's back with all his old friends.

**Of course I loved our girls' night out too. I had so much fun at the Tavernacle with everybody. Us poor moms don't get out too much, so these are necessary every once in a while.

**In October, we took our first family vacation to Disneyland!! The kids had a blast and are still talking about it. We stayed for a week and it was exhausting!!! We learned a lot for next time though.

**Zachary turned 3 this year. He had all his little friends from "school" come and they had so much fun at McDonald's. It was a super hero party. His favorite present was a skateboard from aunt Jennifer. He's such a cool little kid.

** We had an awesome Christmas this year! The kids got lots of fun stuff. I actually got Rich two presents that he liked this year (he's really hard to buy for). Rich got me snowboard boots so we can hopefully start going again. And we got to spend time with family. We went to the zoo lights the Saturday after Christmas and the kids had SO much fun, except Zachary got a little cold.

**And there are babies everywhere!!! Which works out well for me since I'm super baby hungry. Lil' baby Fred is the cutest thing ever and a few more babies are coming next year. I can't wait.

Okay, I think that's it. I hope everybody has a great New Years'. Here's wishing for the best in 2009!!

Stay tuned....

So my friend Deb is just the smartest and coolest lil' thing. I love that she did a list of top events of '08. So following in her footsteps (and Ash's), I'm going to do my 2008 list. But I need some time to think, so stay tuned...

12/29/08

So after much persistence from my BFF, I'm starting a blog. And I have her to thank for the cute title- she stayed up all night thinking of it. :) Although, I don't claim to have much adventure in my life. Except maybe my two wild and crazy boys. That's about as adventurous as it gets around here. But I do love my Karter and Zachary, they have the craziest conversations. This morning they were arguing with each other about whether humans are made of meat or not. I think Zach just likes to get Karter all riled up because he even argued with me that we are in fact, not made of meat. Karter was quick to correct him, saying that any cheetah, T-Rex or dragon would gladly consume us for lunch. Silly kids.... what would I do without them?

About Me

My photo
My cute little fam consists of me, my partner in crime Dick, and our little monkeys: Karter and Zachary. My sweet, dedicated husband is trying to build my dream life for me. But for the time being, I have two full time jobs- mommyhood and a piece of cake desk job with an awesome boss. We stay super busy but have lots of fun in the process. I've become obsessed with scrapbooking lately. I've done it for years but never really had the time. I still don't but now I have my little scrap cubby that I don't have to clean up for dinner, etc. It makes things much easier and now I can scrap when I have a few minutes. Which is really not that often but I'm grateful for what I have.
