more sledding

Okay, I may not like living in our apartment but I have to admit that we have some pretty cool neighbors. Our downstairs neighbor (the one who mows the lawn in the summer and shovels the walks in the winter) made this awesome hill in the front yard for the kiddies to sled on. They had a blast today:

Here are a few pics I took off of the video Dick took yesterday.
Crazy kids. :)

Jan 30

Rich and the kids went sledding today. They had so much fun! (Since I was exhausted and our house was a disaster, I stayed home to rest/clean.)
We were hoping to have had some fresh snow to cover up all the ice but we did not and Karter ended up getting a battle wound. From the snow!
I was told Zachary fell too and hit his head- poor kids. But even with the injuries, I think fun was had by all!

some 365 pics (January 2010)

Okay, so I'm going to try to record my Project 365 a little better. I'm a little behind so here are a few of my favorites so far:

Dick was good to try to take some for me while I was gone. (Since I forgot my camera in Vegas!! So mad.)
I'm definitely going to need a better camera to finish this project. Someday...
Anyhow, there's a little glimpse of our January 2010.
TFL!

2 day resolution

Okay, so I made it 2 whole days. Today is a superOFF day and I think I'm done. Terrible, I know...

I'm finding it really hard to be grateful when I'm in the situation I'm in. I know, I know, it could be worse. I GET IT! But that doesn't mean that things aren't difficult for me. But this is not a "feel-sorry-for-me" post.

I think I'm changing my resolution to something I'm doing much better at. It may be petty and immature but so be it.

This isn't really a "newyears" resolution, it's something I've been trying to do for a while now. Which is doing something for ME and in this case it's scrapbooking. I got some new toys for Christmas that I've been having SO much fun with and getting a lot of pages done.

I'm happier when I scrapbook. I feel like I'm geting something accomplished that can't be undone with a lap of the boys (yes, all 3 boys).

Anyhoo, here are a couple more pages I finished:

Oh, and I AM still going to do Project 365 (for now). Here is todays pic (elephants invading my scrapbooking stuff, agghhh!!):

Project 365

I can't even believe I'm attempting another "everyday project" (on top of my find something I'm grateful for everyday), but I am going to. And attempt will be the key word here.
This is called Project 365, where you take a picture of something going on in your life EVERYday. It's all the rage in the scrapbooking/blogging world right now and I'm hopping on the bandwagon.

Here's my picture for today: a typical Saturday morning watching cartoons in our jammies. (Today we are only doing this for a short time while Dick catches up on some sleep then we can go buy a new washer, bleh!)

2010

So, it's officially 2010. I'm not one to make resolutions often since I tend to well, ya know, not keep them...
Anyhoo, this year I'm making ONE resolution. I make this resolution in hopes to help my down in the dumps/feel sorry for myself attitude I've had for the past few months or so. Every day I'm going to think of ONE thing (at a minimum) to be grateful for. Be it big or small, just ONETHING.
I haven't yet decided if I'll post it daily or keep or journal or something along those lines. We'll see how I'm feeling tomorrow.... :)

Okay, so here it goes for today: (it's actually difficult this very day that I woke up at 9am to the kooky landlord pounding after going to bed @4 and having a broken washing machine and a very large pile of laundry, but I digress.....)
Today I am grateful that yesterday, I found lounge/pajama pants that are finally long enough for my freakishly long legs. WUH.HOO. Seriously, this is quite the feat for me. YAY!!!

And I am also grateful for this angel that is going to help me through today:

OH, and I'm grateful for cute lil Ash for planning a NewYearsBash (even though it involved some dog fecies...) and the WalkerClan for letting us invade their home.

So, here's to 2010 with hopes for a much better year than 2009 *cross fingers*

And now, some artsy, fartsy:

About Me

My photo
My cute little fam consists of me, my partner in crime Dick, and our little monkeys: Karter and Zachary. My sweet, dedicated husband is trying to build my dream life for me. But for the time being, I have two full time jobs- mommyhood and a piece of cake desk job with an awesome boss. We stay super busy but have lots of fun in the process. I've become obsessed with scrapbooking lately. I've done it for years but never really had the time. I still don't but now I have my little scrap cubby that I don't have to clean up for dinner, etc. It makes things much easier and now I can scrap when I have a few minutes. Which is really not that often but I'm grateful for what I have.
