Since becoming a home owner, I've developed a new obsession: home decor. There were times when that's all I thought about all day long and I was constanly looking for ideas to make my home feel more like my own (not to mention pretty!). In my searches, here are a few of my favorite finds:
I've become a bit obessed with purple, which was my child hood favorite. I love the yellow and grey accents here. Probably my favorite color combo right now.
I love the white book cases here and that pretty circle thingy (I believe that's the technical term..)
Is this not the most relaxing kitchen ever?
I'm so going to arrange my books by color..
I realize this is a girls' room but I LOVE the bright wall, colorful rug, huge window and super cute banners. I've posted banners before, I really need to get on that...

Cute stuff. I was going to arrange my books by color too...but then I decided all my books were weird colors and I'm too much of a organize freak to have them not in some sort of order. You should post a picture if you do it though, I want to see. I really like that kitchen too. Did you end up painting any of your walls yet? You should do those colors - the purple, yellow, and grey.

My Grandma did her kitchen green and I'd love to have mine like that but then my house would look like Christmas. :) Where'd you find all these cute pics? I have no creative eye. Josh does all that but I still love flipping through the Ikea catalog and other house magazines for ideas to steal. :)

You did an awesome job with you scrap corner and your bathrooms. Anyways getting novelish so I'll stop for now.
Those are very cute rooms! I love to look at room ideas too. You've done a great job with your house! I have a book that has a pattern for making those banners, you can borrow it if you want.

ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! We haven't painted yet but we decided to go with a different color for the living room and gray, purple, yellow for our bedroom (yeah, Rich is loving that....)
