2009 Resolutions

Well keeping with tradition of copying Ash and Deb, I'm going to post my new years' resolutions. Maybe if I see them on here, I'll be more likely to achieve them. They are as follows:

** Get in shape (who doesn't have this one?).
I know I'm not fat but I could definitely use some excercise and healthy eating. I'm coming up on 30 and I have a feeling all the junk food and laziness is going to start catching up with me. Plus, I've got some lovely little love handles that are driving me CRAZY!!

**Be nicer to my family.
I feel like I'm basically a nice person but one of my downfalls is my temper. I yell a LOT. I hate the thought of my kids ever being scared of me and yelling probably doesn't help. And my dear husband would also appreciate me nagging less (I'm not making any promises on that one :)).

**Be more organized.
At work and at home. I used to be thee most organized person I knew. Lately, that has not been the case. But I know that being organized does help me get more done and spend less time doing it.

**Catch up on my scrapbooking.
Now that I've got my little craft corner set up, I should be able to do a little catching up. I've still got baby pics of Karter that haven't even been printed, let alone put in some kind of album. Plus, this is something I get to do for myself- which might help me be a nicer person.

**Channel my inner creativity.
I look at people like Deb and Josh and think it can't be that hard. But when I actually sit in front of something, nothing comes out. My mind goes blank. I would love to be that type of person that can just sit and create.

**Get our finances in order.
This is something that Rich and I will both have to work on. Bless his heart, he is trying so hard. I need to learn to control the impluse spending and budget better. Hopefully we can do this and it will lead to a house!! Here's hoping.....

  1. Nice resolutions...seems like you, me, and ash are all on the same wavelength. Thanks for thinking I'm creative...I look at Josh and think the same thing.

  2. Go Wendy! You are one amazing woman! I think the getting organized part is an ongoing thing at my house. I seem to get one room organized and mess up another in the process. Maybe by the end all the junk will be gone :)

  3. I knew you'd love this blog thing, because it's kinda like scrap booking. Only it's for the whole world to see and not as much cutting and glue. In fact I think I like it more then scrap booking. I hope you get a house by next new years then you can host the New Years bash.

About Me

My photo
My cute little fam consists of me, my partner in crime Dick, and our little monkeys: Karter and Zachary. My sweet, dedicated husband is trying to build my dream life for me. But for the time being, I have two full time jobs- mommyhood and a piece of cake desk job with an awesome boss. We stay super busy but have lots of fun in the process. I've become obsessed with scrapbooking lately. I've done it for years but never really had the time. I still don't but now I have my little scrap cubby that I don't have to clean up for dinner, etc. It makes things much easier and now I can scrap when I have a few minutes. Which is really not that often but I'm grateful for what I have.
