So Ashley was right- I kind of like this blogging thing. I've never been good at keeping a journal and it's nice to write thoughts and events down.
Right now I'm sitting on my living room couch playing on the computer. That's right- my living room couch. My house is completely torn apart and the couch is that close to the computer. My landlord decided he wanted to finish our apartment so he can collect full rent. It was supposed to be a quick and easy thing yesterday to just lay carpet in the playroom. But of course, it wasn't- I should've known. Everything takes 8 times as long with him as it would with a normal person. And a normal person he is not. He's a kook. So the house is still torn apart and we had to rush home from church so he can finish laying the carpet and I can stop going crazy from the mess!
But some good has come from this. I've got a great big box full of stuff for DI and I took my tree down yesterday and got all that stuff put away. That was about the only thing I could do yesterday since there was no room to manuever. My kids' room is packed with the entire playroom and all our camping gear. So yesterday Karter and his "dad", Zach "went camping". They rolled out their beds and roasted marshmallows (blocks stuck on the end of some hot wheel track). They crack me up.
We went to baby Fred's blessing today. I love that kid- he is the cutest, sweetest thing ever. I seriously miss him when I leave. But I had fun hanging out with all the friends and I'm so excited to meet baby June! And Benjamin/Trevor/Liam?
Then we had to go to church again. Zachary got to go to Sunbeams for the first time. He looked so cute sitting there trying to figure out what was going on. We got a new class too, which I love already. Such cute kids and my challenge from our last class is no longer an issue for me. He was my test for 2008. And Edward Cullen came to visit sharing time! Yeah, a big huge cutout of that ugly kid was staring at me from the back of the room- creepy. Rich thought maybe we'd be learning about eternal life (nerd) but it ended up being that he (the cutout, not Eddie) wasn't real and didn't have a spirit. But all the girls were yelling out "he's a vampire". Isn't it funny what a big deal Twilight has become?
Anyway, I'm gonna go crank up the heat and curl up with a blanket. It's freezing in here! Although, I'm sure it doesn't compare with Deb's house....

About Me
- Gwendolyn
- My cute little fam consists of me, my partner in crime Dick, and our little monkeys: Karter and Zachary. My sweet, dedicated husband is trying to build my dream life for me. But for the time being, I have two full time jobs- mommyhood and a piece of cake desk job with an awesome boss. We stay super busy but have lots of fun in the process. I've become obsessed with scrapbooking lately. I've done it for years but never really had the time. I still don't but now I have my little scrap cubby that I don't have to clean up for dinner, etc. It makes things much easier and now I can scrap when I have a few minutes. Which is really not that often but I'm grateful for what I have.
You have a cute little blog! I haven't been able to get mine going. I'm hoping once I get my house more organized I'll have a little more time.
ReplyDeleteWow Mel commented on your blog too! What's this world coming to. I laughed at Rich's eternal life joke. He can be pretty witty sometimes. I saw a picture of Edward in a magazine today. He's getting older and more chizzled and more grungy more of what I picture Edward to look like so maybe by New moon he'll actually look right.
ReplyDeleteBetter be careful talking about your land lord with him using your shower and taking naps in your bed he might log into your blog and read all the stuff your saying about him and that could really knock his feel goods.
Thanks for paying so many compliments to my Freddie it makes me sooooo happy to read that you like my baby. Cause with a name like Fred he needs friends:)
I have to agree with ya on that last comment Ash. :) Good thing he's such a cutie!
ReplyDeleteDid you get the picture of Edward I sent you? I knew you'd want to blow it up and hang it up on your bedroom wall.
